Christmas at Hello Dollies 2013

Merry Christmas to all Hello Dollies friends!
Our last meeting for 2013 and our last Christmas meeting at Anne's Glory Box, New Lambton was lots of fun - emotional, happy, sad, brilliant, nostalgic, hopeful,  and most of all, joyous!
There was lots of show and tell, stories to share and a delicious lunch.
Show and tell.... thank you all for sharing.

fun fun fun.....
Our Christmas gift swap theme was 'a little red doll" - we all loved opening the secret presents to reveal  a little treasure for each person. There was a wonderful variety of little red dolls....  Tilda, little Christmas sprites and elves, reproduction 1920's boudoir, message stick art doll, and a cute little snowman.
Swap Christmas gifts
It was also the unveliing of the challenge - Christmas Past, Present, Future. The doll which  attracted the most votes as the one which met the challenge brief best was a very clever concept by Margaret - a three sided Santa  - a traditional Santa, a red and white Santa for the present, and a future Santa dressed like a superhero! There were of course, many others which were also brilliant...Jackie's kissing Christmas maiden; Connie's Little Match Girl and diorama;  Shannon's Christmas Spirit ,complete with lamp; Sharolyn's Santa waiting for new clothes; Lorraine's Santa measuring up for a new jacket; Wendy's Christmas doll from the story; Wilma's folk art nativity and  Vicki's magnificent French Parfumerie Porcelain doll, which had us all oohing and aahing, especially when the lights came on inside her shop skirt. What a beautiful doll!
Christmas Challenge - congratulations to all!

And thank you Gloria - what a great day!

And here's a blast from the past.... Here  are a few photos from Hello Dollies Christmases past
Can you  guess when these photos were taken  - which  years?
