Captivated by a chair

It's easy to attract a large group of dollmakers and keep them captivated for a morning - just offer everyone a wonderful Gail Wilson chair kit to make. What a great time we all had ... putting the chair together.

It was wonderful to see so many friends from Sydney and the Central Coast and also a special guest from Canada, figurative artist and doll designer Peggy Wilson ( here is Peggy's blog ). It was an amazing show and tell with so many different styles of dolls, soft sculptures and other textile work - congratulations to all. The standard of work shared last Saturday was original, innovative and outstanding from both beginners and the more experienced .

All doll makers know that you're never too old nor too young to learn something new. Great to share with the next generations of dollmakers at Hello Dollies.
Hope you are all now working on your Christmas beetle challenge - thanks again to Chye In for sharing her pattern. The next meeting is 27th November and the theme is Buttons, Buttons, Buttons . Please bring your special buttons, "button" dolls, and other art made with buttons to share.
Happy doll making and best wishes from Wilma
